Hi,

Brief intro,

Not new to biking - owned bikes since I was 17 -  my current bikes a vfr800i , my last was a cbr400rr tri arm ,( I hate buying and selling bikes so tend to keep them much longer than i should  & service them myself)

i need new tyres for the vfr so I'm gonna ask for recommendations in a separate post.

my longest journey without pause other than ferries and petrol was manchester to the black forest - bit tired after that. Longest uk ride , petrol stops only, - manchester to applecross

Look forward to helpfull replies in the future -

SG

Yep, Applecross on the West coast of Scotland , sort of level with the top of Skye. good campsite and pub there. Well worth a visit, once you get past M6/M74 & Glasgow it is a fantastic journey too.

Have a good time - and wrap up warm!! ... I've been up in May and had snow at the sides of the road

Heres a link for Applecross the place http://www.applecross.uk.com/

I'm not sponsored by them ... honest.

Pass of the cattle good fun but the hairpins are hardwork - too tight and steep to do justice to .. swiss versions much easier.
