It didn't quite work out like in the dreams.......

The instructor got left at a roundabout about 3 minutes in to the test and I heard him tell me to take the second left, then later pull over. 25 minutes later I was still waiting for him!! So I headed back to the test centre with heavy heart....he said he had terminated the test because of communication failure. He said he hadn't told me to turn left but pull in to the left :shock:

Suffice to say I'm extremely hacked off but I guess you have to put it down to one of those things. Apparantly they will allocate me a new date asap, I don't have to wait the ten working days etc. So just waiting to hear when it is :(:(:(:(:(:(

Thanks for all the advice, good lucks etc I shall keep you informed!!

That's a real bummer.

On a side issue, I wonder where you would stand if you got pulled by the plod and the examiner had already gone back to the test centre? You're riding on L plates unaccompanied....

That really is mighty unlucky and hopefully no problems for the next time.  Keep us posted, please.

I went out Thursday night for an hour on some 'A' roads. Had a great time, and not riding like a burke, but really enjoyed it. It was so nice to be on my own with no instructor. I learned on a CBF 500 which is naturally a huge step from a 125 CBT bike, I have a Suzuki GSX650F and I couldn't believe the acceleration when I twisted the throttle going up 5k to 9k revs - Ihaven't been brave enough to go beyound that and think I'm probably keeping the revs too low generally (too much car driving I guess), but hey, what a great time.

I plan to take it steady and buid up the mileage to gain experience and go on an advanced rider course in a couple of months time.

Cheers
