I thought the subject was 'What is Racism?'.
I am merely trying to point out that the niggaz can be racist too. It isn't the sole prerogative of the whitey honkey devils.
Racism is not black and white.
It is more complex than that. Part social conditioning, part manipulation, part peer group pressure, part social structure, part resentment, part lack of education, part lack of travel, there are a million factors at work.

if you've grown up in a society that has made you feel ashamed to be white, looked down upon because you're white, discriminated against because you're white. a place where that sort of behaviour is the norm rather than the exception. then i'll grant you permission to stand up and say "i'm white and proud of it".

'It's not illegal to be white in this country.... yet' was a quote I heard recently.... and agree with...
I have friends of all cultures, colours and nationalities... I don't see them as any of the things I have just described, I don't label them and I see them as my friends because that is all they are!
However I will use derogatory or 'racist' terms toward other people that can fit the 'labels' as they are, when it suits me! I'm human, i'm no hypocrite and if a black person fucks me off then I'll use a term that connects with the first thing I see about them just the same as if a fat white person does! Black bastard, fat cow, sweaty sock (and I am one) .... is there a difference or is it just because we are TOLD there is a difference by our govt?
You cannot ask for a black coffee in my local council canteen, its a coffee without milk, you cannot call a blackboard a blackboard anymore, its a whiteboard HUH?
I am not sick and tired of ethnic differentials, I am sick and tired of stupid bloody litigation that TELLS us how to act and what to say! It's THAT which causes resentment and racism, not the people who its directed at helping/silencing!!

whilst i sorta agree with the insults thing (which is why i dislike 'racially aggravated' charges), if you're genuinely anti racism i con see a lot more stuff being worth
getting angry over than a bit of well intentioned but misguided legislation.
there are still plenty of firms out there who refuse to hire people based on their ethnicity, those cunts SHOULD be told that it's not ok

Just to stir things up a little, why should anyone be told who they should hire to work for their own company?
If I ran my own company and decided I didn't want to hire someone who was fat I think that should be my choice. Likewise if I didn't want to hire someone who was bald/ethnic/smelly/thin/spotty/chavvy/gangsta, it should still be my choice. A law shouldn't be able to stop me. But if I chose to employ that person and then refused them something they deserved just on their colour/ethnicity/size/whatever, then that, I agree, would be wrong.
On the other side of the coin, if you knew that a company had in the past not hired people solely for any of those reasons, would you really want to work there anyway?

Two questions;
Is there such a thing as a blind racist? As basing hatred of another person on what skin-tone they happen to have seems monumentally daft.
And what's the point of these 'equal opportunities' forms you have to fill in when you apply for jobs?
Having to tell an employer what your so-called ethnic background is must lead to positive/discrimination. I remember a while ago, there was a recruitment drive in the police to employ more black officers so there'd be a greater representation within the force (for example). So did that mean that people who were potentially more suited to the job were over-looked?
If employers were truly anti-discrimination then they shouldn't need to know at all as you should get the job based solely on your suitability/skills.
