What you see as an excuse, I see as a reason........ pure and simple.
I seem to be welcome here as long as I'm not "too" Yank, "too" nationalistic, "too" pro-gun,. "too" sugary or treacly, "too" whatever..... In other words, I'm welcome here as long as I fit into your neatly prescribed parameters of what a "proper poster" should be. I don't remember ever personally attacking anyone, except when pushed to the wall. To my mind, I've tried a lot of things...... humor, admiration, simple pleas..... but really the message from most of you seems to be the same: change yourself, and we will accept you. Bunch of forum bullies, you are really.... and PaulR is the biggest bully of them all. Tolerance? My ass.
There's no point to this, really. You don't like my persona or my posts, so why bother? Look at the beginning of this thread: I wanted to explore something interesting, I thought, in an interesting way, I thought.... the motivation to ride, and what does everyone concentrate on? The fact that I put the word "Yank" in a subtitle......

Would appear to me that anyone who is patriotic gets a bit of a bashing on any forum.... I get it too ... Those who happen to know I'm Scottish, assume I'm like the rest of the flag wearing, football loving numpties I'm surrounded by and patriotic to the hilt.... I'm not (any more)...
BUT I DO use my nationality as an excuse......... to drink more than the recommended limit

I wasn't having a pop at Paul.... my post just came after his..... besides, isn't he Scottish too?
Just possibly Jack has got to the stage that he is 'taking the piss' about announcing he is American in every post..... perhaps he thinks if he didnt, someone else would bring it up
