Bebel Gilberto - Roundhouse 2007. Broken ankle. Sat down entire gig. Couldn't see her. She's minging in the flesh. Shit voice. Wife argued with girl in front who gave her dirty look while wife was singing along (wife is SHIT singer though)

Caetano Veloso - Barbican 2006. "Sing us some of your hits why don't you you poncy twat!!!"

Only got the one - Oasis at Knebworth, so far back that couldn't see the stage and the poor sound was so out of sync with the screens not worth watching, and having seen them the year before in a small venue in Germany where they put on a good loud show Knebworth was very disappointing..............

PWEI - fucking awful live

Eels - great band - shite venue (Royal Festival Hall), crap PA and no atmosphere at all.

Oh, and hundreds of shite bands I saw as a gig photographer for a Regional music mag in the early 90s. Saw a few belters though, so it all evens out.

Oh God, there have been so many - mostly ones I had to attend for work. But these stand out..

Dokken at Camden Underworld 2003. The man's a fucking fruitcake in a frightwig. We had to go and do a quick grab 'n' grin after the gig, where he gave us chapter and verse on what was wrong with the nmusic industry, how he invented iTunes, how he made a $2m video for $10k on his MacBook and why he should be president...#

Lloyd Cole at Bush Hall, London, 2004. I don't mind some of his music (though I'd never choose to listen to it), but I don't want to hear three hours of it. In 110-degree heat with sweat running down the walls.

East 17 at Glasgow SECC. Jesus, they tried to convince all the 10-year-old girls who were watching that dey was ghetto, innit. Brian Harvey made an expletive-peppered rant, imploring his audience 'Don't buy The fucking Sun, innit!' The poor guy in front of me with his little girsl didn't know where to put himself. Innit.

Russell Watson at Brighton Pavilion. His manager - Deke Arlon, who'd met Sinatra once(!) - had grandiose plans for ther stage show. Russell would stay backstage during the overture, after which a kabuki would fall, revealing our hero in bright white light. Unfortunaterly the kabuki fell on the orchestra, who had to down tools to get rid of the thing before the show could continue.

Insane Clown Posse at the Astoria. Their entire act consisted of throwing thousands of litres of Faygo - an orange fizzy drink that they carried in 2-litre bottles in its own flight case that sat at the back of the stage - all over everything and everyone during the gig. Oh, and really shit rap music performed by fat, middle-class white men from Detroit. The Astoria staff must have been delighted to clear that up after.

In no order:

Guns & Roses - Monsters of Rock, Castle Donington. Shit sound, shit band, too many people.

Hawkwind - St Albans - 1986 - Just awful, the place stunk, the band seem to play one song for about 2 hours & too many "dog on a string" types.

All About Eve - Brixton Academy (can't remember the year) I really liked All About Eve, but this was when they went a bit "trippy", stacks of feedback & not enough Julianne Regan.

Yngwie Malmsteen - London Dominion - Ashamed as I am to admit it, I really like Malmsteen, but this was so boring, endless 200mph solo's & a pissed Joe Lynn Turner. During the drum solo the drummer threw drums heads into the crowd…they threw them back.

Muse - Brixton Academy - Supporting Live. Like Radiohead, but with even more misery. Lighten up!!

I was at that Live gig too. Muse were really good.

Live were awful!! Had seen them before at the Garage (around Throwing Copper time) so went again and they started all this God shit and preaching about John  (He's Fucking Dead Now!) Lennon birthday. Had a massive row with some bint in front who bought all that shit and would have been sucking a dummy when he was alive and wouldn't know who the hell he was!

I was with the wife as well and we were booing them preaching MF's.

On the same bill one night Six.by Seven and The Delgado's (same record label at the time) at some Islington Church just up from The Garage, which is next to Sondels, The Delgado's were utter shite. Whining Scottish pap. Six.bySeven on the other hand most excellent. Should  have bailed and gone to the Water Rats and seen Cecil.

I just ignored all the god & preaching stuff :). For some reason I have a quite a few albums which I really like which I find out later are really quite preachy about god & the like, I just never realised :D Not that it matters anyway, a good tune is a good tune...regardless of what they are banging on about. Oh, granted, Live weren't that good that night, I left early I seem to recall.

I just can't stand Muse, never could understand what the fuss was about.

I believe they may still be going, Live that is. True choon is a choon and I think that everyband going has one good 'un in them. Muse were at the start of rise to global domination and were just good at what they did. Toured and worked hard on the back of that first album, I don't like them that much either but hats of to a good performance.

Van Morrison,Maryport blues festival, last summer, lived up to his reputation of being a moody, miserable twat.Absolute zero interaction with the audiance, spent 99% of the set facing his band, and didn`t sing any of his hits.

Santana at the Manchester Apollo late 70,s ( with that John Marivishnu twat)

He really thought a Manchester audience  would pray for a few minutes in the middle of a gig:?(Iknow, I know)

The crowd were shouting for Evil Ways and Black Magic Woman, Priceless!!!!
