Stayed here in May

http://www.hoehill.co.uk/

after doing the Honda Off Road thing in Lincolnshire. It's near Cadwell park too, and they have a garage for bikes, which was nice.

The best bit though was that the good lady of the establishment took the three of us to the pub in her car and 4 hours later when we were all pissed came back and collected us.

When we arrived she even gave us buckets and sponges to clean our bikes.

I could not possibly rate this B&B highly enough.

Around the London area u have the marychest (bloke used to turn up and clean bikes for a McGuyver(fiver)).......on the a2 which turns into the A21 as u leave the london area. Also if u go past Brands Hatch thru West Kingsdown u will see the oakdene cafe which is packed on a wednsday night.Hundreds of bikes,cruisers,trikes,sportsbikes,race-reps,even a couple of quads!.....The queue for refreshment(tea? coffee? cafe latte?........no beer it's a cafe! )is,and will always forever be,legendary.....their food's ok too.The place is heaving on a wednesday and garden tables and chairs r always put out. It's brilliant.friendly aura is captivating cos u have all bikes and everyone is just happy to be there and be a biker.

Seen no sign of 'em yet, but can't swear they have no interest as I live 90-odd miles away and have only been twice. Pete runs a tight ship but the usual rules apply I suppose, don't knock the a**e out of it :( and Plod'll stay away:).

I'm off there again next Monday (19th), strong rumours of a BBQ, proceeds to charity.

The Delemere Arms in Hatchmere (near Frodsham, Cheshire) is very upper class but they're always really friendly when we turn up in our gear. Large carpark to the rear and the roads round there are great.

Try the steak burger, it's massive and it comes with homemade chips. Trying to find the link.

Just make sure you stop at a cash machine first. Bloody £3.20 for a pint of Fosters. I mean, that's fair play in London, but in the North West? *grumbles* Damn budget... Also, a burger is about £10.00 although it really is worth it. I'm pretty sure they go out back and kill the animal there and then to get it really fresh. Also, when we turned up dripping wet, having ridden through lateral rain for an hour to get there, they didn't moan, then got a mop and bucket and cleaned up all the water we'd dripped over the floor :D Bonus

Cheshire is not in the north west it's down south that's why it's so expensive, £3.20 does sound damned dear though.

Woburn bloody safari park.

Turned up on me bike, and they refused entry. They muttered something about ''lion enclosures'' but that's just a cover story I'm sure. I'm thinking of getting MCN to do an expose of their bare-faced anti-bike prejudice.
Went to Ireland (true story) for my honeymoon. Cobh it was.We parked up and went in- you walk through herds of Zebras, giraffes, stuff like that, The big cats they got caged, but everything else just wanders around. As we were walking along the path I see an Ostrich in the middle of the path.Figuring it's probably more frightened of me than vice versa I walk up to it, expecting it to walk away. It doesn't. So I try to push it- they're solid, trust me.  After a bit it drops its head and tries to peck at the camera I'm holding. So I put the camera behind my back, and it transfers its attention to the copper studs on my Levi's 501's button fly.                                                                                                     Remember I was on honeymoon?    The wife is wetting herself laughing and takes piccy's.                                                                                                       Looks like I'm getting a blow job by an ostrich.                                            Some days just don't turn out like you expect.....VTaRse.
