I can usually hit 125 easily on my GS, after that my pipe goes out and my slippers let the wind in.

Anyway i spoke to a REAL Biker just now at work and he has had the same thing and it is just the surface at that shitty part of the M1 coming into town. He spoke to an AA man who has had loads of calls for flat tyres only to turn up and find some twat in a merc with low profile tyres who has driven on the shitty bit, felt the god awful vibration and assumed has got a flat, pulled over and called the AA WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE TYRES! Oh well thats "cagers" for you...fuck me - i'm even beginning to talk like a biker!;)

that whole m1/north circ/a5/a41 area can be a right good laugh if you catch it at the right time

Pride comes before a fall and all that but i'm loving it at any time... less traffic - i go nice and fast...more traffic - filter like a nutter. What's not to like about filtering? Get my "x-wing-in-the-trench-use-the-force-lets-blow-this-thing-kid" fantasies going.

Sorry about the star wars ref - bit passe i know...

being in the zone only really works when everyone else knows what they're doing

It didn't do that on the newly resurfaced stuff - just on the old, crappy "beigey" stuff so am just hoping it was that but was disconcerting all the same so just want to know if there is something else i should be looking at?

ps- not riding my er6n at that speed is not the advice i'm looking for. Apart from that it was really stable and felt lovely. Just thought i would share that.

Tell Kawasaki!

You had reached the limits of the forks abilities, at that speed you need much better forks!

I read that twice before posting, to check my forking spelling was ok!
