Maybe you gents can help me out.
The Aprilia Caponord Rally Raid happens to be on top of my list of "Next bike" candidates. I found a couple of good second-hand machines for sale here, 2003, 2005  models in the range of 6.5k-7k euro.  The internet is almost void of any pertinent review. I'm more interested in the aspects of living with them. Not much help to read 6-8 year old launch reviews. Even the Aprilia website is strangely lacking any info on this past model. (I have a thing for extinct species on two wheels, my first bike was a Yamaha SRX250 - Japan model - total nightmare)

If any of you own / have owned this model I would appreciate your input. Maybe a search through your Bike collection, hm..?

Thanks for the post. It's on the "standard" version of Caponord. The Rally Raid has some handy upgrades, 50mm adjustable forks (non-adjustable on standard), 16t front sproket and better "armor". Word goes the R Raid is a quite different machine, albeit running the same engine and gaining a few kilos. Still worried about Aprilia realiability though...

The Mille engine is very reliable, the electrics maybe not so reliable. There has been issues with "brown electrical connectors" on all the V990 engined Aprilias. Basically they melt and leave you stranded. But generally they are pretty tough machines. Baya is the fellow you want for Capo questions, I assume he'll be along presently.
