I spoke to my instructor last thrusday, to confirm my next lession.. and he said.. oh, whilst your on the phone what's your theory pass cert number.. so I told him (at this point just thinking he prob keeps a record of all this info for some reason).. then he goes, oh yes.. I've had a look at test dates (this didn't supprise me as we had spoken about it, and was thinking a few weeks time - and a couple of extra mid week lessions).... oh I'm going to book you in for Tuesday.. do you want another lession on Saturday.....

Anyway to cut a long story short, Saturday lession I was rubbish.. as if I'd never been on a bike before in my life.. Sunday lession was great.. Tuesday before the test was a little pants.. and then..

I passed - with only 4 minors.. still not sure how it happened, as I'm sure I can't be that good. oh hum, maybe I just need more confidence in myself.

Anyway, prob off to the shops tomorrow and look at bikes, helmets, jackets, boots etc etc.. Strange thing is the mrs is more excited then me (although maybe it's just the thought of shopping)..

Anyway I wonder if I should start a - I'm looking for my first bike topic ;)

Don't worry about it, was in a telephone conference at work this morning, with an Indian company.. and they were having to help me pronounce all the big english words... I just couldn't say them right.. :?

Congatulations man! ;)

Now about whether you should go for "My first bike" thread, I say go for it, but...

Just to make it more clear and easy I would suggest to give plenty of info about yourself (height, weight..etc.) as size does matter in some bikes, if not all of them. As well as to propose some bikes that you like and are ok for your riding style/budget/insurance /tax..etc. then listen to the advice you will get from here or any other source you have selected and find your final canditate(s). If not 100% sure for those (the final canditates that is), then have a test ride too and choose your best... :)

Hope that was helpfull

Or he could check back through some of the other threads that have dealt with this, first?  ;)
