Come on you O's!!!!!

And that's a cracking bike you've got. Have you got a Power Commander on it? Apparently you can improve the fuelling considerably to get rid of the flat spot...

Thanks :)

No, not got a power commander on it yet... I assume you're talking about the bit rolling on/off the throttle... Yeah, it's a bit annoying - mostly when you're in a highish gear and just throttling back a bit. In town/traffic it doesn't really bother me - keep the revs up, slip the clutch, bob's your uncle!

Loving it for my first (real) bike (as I had a GS125 before it!)

Thanks :)

It's funny - I really don't see much about the GSR anywhere. I stumbled across it on the Suzuki website when I was looking to see what they did when I made my mind up to upgrade the CBT to a DAS. Just liked the styling - looked a bit different to me! :)

Not to Leave Leyton Orient out, I lived in one of the tower blocks that used to be right next door. Clifford Hick Tower, a great pile of shite.

Saw a woman on one of these yesterday. She was riding along a quiet road near my house, obviously teaching herself how to ride. I sat and watched her for a bit ignoring the urge to rush out and hold her steady, to cover 100 meters she must have wobbled an extra 50. Nice looking thing though, the bike too.

I don't recall Derby Road... I used to live near Oakhill Primary. There was a petrol station on the corner of my road, Jag garage opposite, not far from the Churchill statue :) It was 20 years ago I left there :)

Anyway - sorry for not responding to everyone but thanks for the responses! I've got another couple of weeks experience on the bike now and still enjoying it... Although the engine sound is changing a bit - I'm hoping it's just because the bike is running in (just got past 1500 miles) and not because a problem is developing... Not owning a FI/proper bike before I've not got a yardstick... Still pulls like a train anyway but just sounds a bit 'gruffer' when it hits the powerband!

Getting scratched to buggery though - even though I'm babying it... Now I know what people mean when they go on about the legendary Suzuki paintwork!

Hi Nick & welcome.

Nice looking bike, can't say I've ever noticed one before.  Funny how many people have a connection through the O's isn't it?  I used to go to nearly all of the home games at Brisbane Road.  I'm in sunny Lancashire now though so it's Burnley or Accrington Stanley (seriously).  And Expat too!  I remember Clifford Hick Tower though it's not there anymore, bulldozed long ago.
