The usual suspects were really flying in Spain once they had got used to the new tyres. Everyone will be on control Pirellis, which gives us a head start as we've been on them for a while now. The big differance is that we can't use our normal 190's as everyone is on 180's which give far less sidegrip. Paul Young on the Triumph won't mind this at all as he was on 180's all last season because he couldn't get his bike to work on the wider tyres. At our first test in Cartegena we were soon in the groove and going much better than either Padgetts or Centurion, with Ben lapping quicker than Hobbs, Westmoreland, Cooper, McGuinness and Webb. Craig Fitzpatrick and Sam Owens were also going really well.
When we moved on to Gaudix we were the ones on the back foot as Ben had never ridden there before. Centurion were there too and had found the secret of the new tyres as Dennis Hobbs was right on it with his team mates Westy and Cooper not too far behind. Jack Groves was there too and looked to be much improved over his last years form, riding very smoothly and quickly. Tas Suzuki had left before we got there but paddock gossip had Lowry as the fastest rider on the days he was there. Once Ben had learned the circuit we were not too far off Hobbs or Lowry's times. All in all a very successful test which sets the scene for the coming season. The racing will be very very close and qualifying should be a little easier for us as qualifying tyres are outlawed. We reckon half a second could easily cover the first 15 places. With the new boys looking good on the 'stockers' this should be a great year for Wylie and Holland Racing.

Last weekend at Brands, Matt Bilton, one of the new boys had an outing on his own R6 at an MRO meeting. He had some brilliant results on the short Indy circuit to build on the excellent pre-season test he had in Spain.
In a couple of weeks all 3 riders will be at Oulton Park for a trackday to do more testing in preparation for the kick off in April. We expect to have both of Ben's Supersport bikes as well as both Superstock bikes up and running, and with a bit of luck take them all there in the new race transporter to give that a test run too.

It's only a track day and not an official test, the bikes may not be in full war paint and we're expecting the track to be cold and the weather miserable but if you feel the need to inflict this upon yourself after a night of the 'proper' job then you should know by now that you are always welcome!

Hey up Dan, welcome to the funny farm. Everythings going well this end thanks to a lot of hard work by some very dedicated peeps. All the bikes should be built by Sunday night and the truck is nearly ready too. Me, Roger and Nathan will be at Oulton and hopefully Cliff might put in an appearance but thats a bit iffy as the shop is a bit short staffed next week. Nathans bringing his R1 so you'd better keep your elbows in when you're out on the track! :D Is your old man coming?
