Hi all ...

Okay ... I've decided!!  I don't ride my bike enough and it's just sitting in the garage gathering dust. 3,500 miles in 4 years is just NOT enough! So ...

Get your motorcycle out of the garage ... leave the car at home and RIDE TO WORK! Once a week is good enough. Not only are you reducing congestion but you can also raise money for our charity! Bikes are for riding and NEED to be used ... what other motivation do you need?

I have decided to Ride as much as I can.  I will be riding to work, at least once a week (two days a week I have to take my daughter to nursery and the damn baby seat keeps falling off the pillion pad!), and going out more at weekends! And just to encourage me to do it, I am asking to be sponsored to do it!

I am not asking you to sponsor me, though that would be nice (http://justgiving.com/iainchandler2) I am asking you to JOIN IN!!!

Sign yourself up for a JUSTGIVING web page and get yourself sponsored ... it's really easy go to:  http://www.justgiving.com/keresource/raisemoney/ and click Create Page, then select the Ride to Work Challenge.

It only takes 2 minutes then email all your mates your justgiving address and get sponsored.  You only have to ride your bike to work!!  You don't have to do it everyday ... once a month would be ok  ...

If enough people sign up I will set up a page on our website http://www.kesresource.org.uk with top fundraisers, top millage and top bike any other ideas welcome.  I will be setting up a page which will have my millage and a blog on. Web address to follow ...

Not only will u be reducing congestion and lowering your carbon tyre-print by not using your car, you can also help support this worthy cause.

Young people with autism face a huge struggle when it comes to finding paid employment.  The Supported Employment Project at Meadowhall provides support for young people with autistic spectrum disorders to enable them to access paid employment.

The charity recieves no government funding and is totally reliant on charitable donations and grants from other charitable organisations.  We are in the position where our funding will run out in less than 16 months time and our two full-time support staff will lose their jobs and the young people will lose their support.

One months support costs the charity £3,500 ... so please help ... if only to get me out on my bike more!!

Many thanks for your support.

PS Bike staff - any chance of a mention in the mag?

PPS anyone up for a sponsored BIKE 440 run??
