Hi all,

On the 8th of January 2007 i lost my wife of 19 years to cancer. i am 38 years old and we have a 17 year old son. my son decided he wanted to do some sort of charity event to raise money for cancer research in memory of his mum.

We have decided to do a round the uk motorcycle ride approx 1,000 over 3 days (camping a night).

We have had lots of support with approx 10 people riding the whole route with us and many doing sections i.e south east, south west etc etc.

To date we have raised over £2,000, £450 from one company.

This event will be on 13th, 14th and 15th of june 2008.

This is where we need your help by one or more of the following.

a. sponsor us

b. ride the whole route (collect sponsors)

c. ride part of the route (collect sponsors)

you can sponsor us online at http://www.justgiving.com/face2008

more info @ http://www.bikersoracle.com/blackbird/forum/showthread.php?t=36094

Many thanks and happy new year to you all

Sorry to hear of your loss, I think it exceptionally good of you to do this event.

Where are you starting from?

Am very sad for both your loss guys.

Do you have a rough idea of the route? Have got a small group (5 or so) from the worcestershire area that would love to join for any section near-ish this area.

Massive good luck with the rideout and please keep us posted! :D

Dave

Hi CBR1100xx I wont be able to join you for the ride, however if you look at my thread 'Cancer Research' you may decide you want to join us for either the ride or the auction.

Good luck with your fund raising. And my condolences for your loss
