I think you'll find that to be the case with the XR1200 too but in fairness, that second pic is of the pre production prototype that is slightly different to the one actually made.

MFG wrote: Harley's extremely curious XR1200 is being launched this week. It's most interesting because it looks like it'll be a Europe-only model (a Harley not for America?), while the blub on the website (http://www.xrdna.com) talks of sports-tuned suspension and riding position, ample ground clearance, high-performance brakes, all given XR750 dirt-track styling and a surprisingly reasonable-sounding £7655 price. Plus there's a video of it doing knee-down cornering and vertical wheelies. Crikey...

So... tempted? What deal-breaker questions do you have that might be answered from the launch?

MFG

Why for fuck's sake they are not selling that here is truly beyond my comprehension and why as a rule I hate HD and the people that ride them.

Sadly true. It's ALL I do here (Ok and adventure touring but I sold the Tiger now and got an VFR. Thinking about another vfr or a Futura or a FZ1 now).

I quite like it...but would prefer a V11, or even if I was so inclined an Aprillia Shiver.

Would people buy a stripped down 750 version Dooley?? I know I would like that too, but only as a complete toy, much like a supermoto is.

even if i had the money for a springsteen rep i'd rather buy a grotty genuine one.

750cc is the perfect motorcycle displacement

all motorcycles should come with front plates, it shows you mean business

If I always rode solo I would agree, but torquey big engines help.
