Thanks to the digital whizz-kids upstairs, we've now got an online sample of the magazine.

Very swish, but I have Expat sorting me out, as they say.  *smug mode*

This going to be a regular thing or a trial run to see how it goes?

And stop showing off!

Look, it's not often I get to strut, is it?

Hope it goes well; it's a top idea.

Anyone else had problems accessing this site?

I got through on the first attempt and since then, all it does is hang.

Did you manage to get it to run again?  Mine is still on the fritz.  Unless it is only designed for one off access?

If "sample" means only 12 pages from the entire magazine, I guess it's OK. It won't be the the bookstores here for another month.

Nice Khal.  But dammit, you're teasing me with only two pages of the California article.  I'm counting down the days before the June issue hits the local newstands.

Frisco is the epicenter of US motorcycling???!!!

You guys need to come over and let me show you where the real "epicenter of US motorcycling" is... Lots of great roads all over the US. But the mountains of western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee have some of the finest riding roads in the US... More smiles per mile than just about any where else on earth...

San Francisco... really now... nothing like being in the middle of a few million loons.... don't think so...

You ought to check out BARF:

One forum won't tell you everything, but the San Francisco Bay Area does have a unique bike culture.  That said I rode some phenomenally good roads in the Carolinas & Tennessee during the short amount of time I spent there a couple years ago.

My response and jab was a bit tongue in cheek... but also a little pointed... The US is so large and diverse that I don't know if there is a genuine "epicenter"...

I was born and raised in Calif. and I know the state, geographically, fairly well... Lots of great riding areas, whatever type of riding you may want to do...

I actually received my copy of the issue the day after I posted the above. Mark does a great job writing... but sometimes I think he tries to slant his articles to fulfill the UK/European image of US motorcycling rather than tell how complex and diverse it is. Ie: the "Bike week" article that raised the old segregation and "racist South" angle... I've been in most parts of the US... And while we're not perfect down here in the South. We have the greatest mix of all races and ethnic backgrounds and tend to get along just fine, thank you very much...
