Actually on further thought (an extra minute) I really have no chance. Most professional Superbike/BSB riders started in motocross and a lot ride on road so they are gonna win.

Nah go for it.
Look at it another way - if you get in you get to play with a track bike, and an offroader, at someone elses expense.
I wonder how many crashes the "track test" will produce?
A big factor in my "bah humbug" attitude is the fact I am self employed, so it is rather expensive to take days out for me, I would cringe if any of my mates thought I regarded myself as being "the best" though.

What have people got to lose? Sounds like a right laugh to me.

self esteem?
I have my reasons as stated, but if anyone enters for the craic - fair play.
I just shudder if someone actually thinks he IS the best rider etc.

Yes yes yes it sounds like a good crack but when are these things happening?
Information we need information.

What's in a title?
The "Best Album Ever", "Carlsberg, Probably the World's Best Lager"- it's just marketing spin to get stuff noticed. We all know it's not true.
Anyway, imagine winning? You could assuredly walk into any pub and forever stop the bragging by telling people you're the best rider in the UK. Fact- and have the bike you won to prove it.

Give us a date and i'll let you know.
Surely a good rider is just that, whether he is on a tiddler or a superbike the basics are the same.
(Luke Jones and many others before him, off 125's and equally as good on bigger bikes)

OK before I go for good, I'm letting you know that I am thinking about entering Bike magazines Britains best biker comp.
So the gauntlet is down.
Enough of words.
Let's see who among you has the confidence to put his/her money where their mouth is.
I'm not interested in winning it.
I probably won't, but I am absolutely confident that I can beat anyone here.
So if you really believe the hype you have created over me, now's the time to prove it the old fashioned way - with a challenge.
No more words or threats, or petty name calling.
Who's going to step into the ring and take me on as a rider.
Any takers.
Nah - thought not
Dude, you can't seriously, be a great rider, a hard bastard, AND an internet geek with a personality disorder at the same time.
You can pick two.

Well, thanks for that. I was starting to doubt my own stance on this competition, that anyone who thinks they could be the greatest is defacto not the sort of person anyone else would like to meet.

It's OK.
I wasn't expecting anyone to actually have the courage to put their money where their mouths are
Come on, this is your chance to expose me.
Surely you want to do that don't you
Come on, who's in.
I'm being serious.
Surely you being there in person is one great reason NOT to go to the challenge...
